LAGOS DISLODGES UNAUTHORISED TRADERS AROUND BADAGRY SCHOOLS.

The Lagos State Ministry of Environment's Monitoring, Enforcement, and Compliance Department took action on Monday to eliminate illegal structures and remove unauthorized traders near schools in the Badagry area. Commissioner Tokunbo Wahab initiated the move following a petition from Ajara Senior Secondary School regarding indiscriminate commercial activities by street traders in front of the school. Wahab reported that, after serving abatement notices and facing non-compliance, the operatives cleared the areas in front of Ajara Senior Grammar School Badagry, Anglican Primary School Ilogbo-Eremi, Morogbo Primary School, and the Nigerian French Language Village in Badagry. The enforcement was deemed necessary to address the negative impact of such activities on students' moral and intellectual development, contributing to truancy and other undesirable behaviors.
